The Department of Surgery, Civil hospital Karachi is committed to providing comprehensive surgical care with dedicated specialists. A wide range of minimally invasive and open surgeries are conducted in six separate general surgical wards each having its own faculty team headed by a Professor. The department is providing state-of-the-art surgical care to patients without any distinction, free of cost, which includes robotic surgery as well.

The faculty members of the different wards work closely with other faculties, such as DOT discussions to ensure complete and coordinated care of the patients. It renders ethical, cost effective, skilled and innovative surgical care of the highest quality. It pursues to develop skilled surgeons by employing scientific and practical aspects of surgery
